On 27 August in Prague, the betting operator Fortuna hosted the International European Championship in fixed-odds betting that was attended by 22 of the top Fortuna players from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. The event was held in the Gold class Cinestar Anděl Hall and the winner scooped the grand prize of 3000 euro.

The players advanced to the final from long term national competitions. They watched live broadcasts of the English Premier League in three rounds and each player bet live, i.e. during a match using a virtual account charged with 1000 CZK credit. 

1^st round (Aston Vila – Wolverhampton):
In the first round, each contestant had to place a bet worth 500 CZK. The account total was crucial in order to progress to the next round; the 12 players that would advance carried over the amount reached at the end of the first round.

2^nd round (Chelsea – Norwich City):
The second round was a knock out round; the players were split into pairs according to their position in the first round: 1st against 12^th, 2^nd against 11^th, etc. A total of 6 players reached the final - the winner from each duel.

3^rd round (Liverpool – Bolton):  
The players started the final round with their accounts showing the amounts reached at the end of the second round and the only criteria for the final position was the money in the account after the third round.  The top three players each won prize money.

The winner was the player from Prague who made the final with credit of more than 3600 CZK so won the main prize of 3000 euro; the prize of 2000 euro was won by the winner from Poland and 1000 euro went to the winner from North Moravia.
