Bookmakers at Fortuna Entertainment Group, the largest Central European provider of fixed-odds betting, have prepared more than 25,000 betting opportunities centred on matches at the forthcoming FIFA World Cup football tournament. Football ranks as the global number one in the area of fixed-odds betting and the World Cup is without any doubt the most attractive football challenge for punters. From Fortuna’s point of view, the event will see the company make its largest ever offer of fixed-odds betting for a single event in its 20 years of operations.

According to Fortuna's estimates, the overall amount of World Cup bets that could be placed with the company in the countries in which it conducts its business (Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Hungary) could exceed EUR 30 million.

In each of the countries, punters will also have a special bonus opportunity. Using the EXPERT bet, they will be able to boost their World Cup winnings. The offered bonus in the Czech Republic will stand at a value of CZK 1 million, in Slovakia at EUR 27,000, in Poland at PLN 100,000 and in Croatia at HRK 250,000.

Twenty bookmakers based in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Croatia will participate in compiling the odds. The basic offer will include the whole World Cup schedule of 64 matches, each of which will take place with an offer of a minimum of 65 different betting options.

"We will add another 60 different types of bets covering the winners, group placings, scorers, the identity of the finalists, whether or not a hat-trick will be scored during the championship, the continent from which the winner will originate and other themes, which all in all will represent about another 1,000 betting opportunities," said Michal Hanák, Fortuna's chief bookmaker.

In such an event, it is usual that "LIVE" bets make up the largest proportion of bets placed. These will be compiled and issued for every single one of the World Cup matches. The "LIVE" bets will be taken care of by additional bookmakers, namely 12 specialized bookmakers, three of whom will be deployed to cover each match as it takes place. On average, each of the matches will provide punters with 320 games within the game and betting opportunities, i.e. more than 20,000 betting possibilities overall.
